My Cause, My Cleats is a campaign started by the NFL that allows players to wear custom cleats for one week league-wide. Players have the opportunity to select a cause or organization they are passionate about and have cleats customized to represent the cause.

Isaiah McKenzie, a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, chose to represent the John A. Hartford Foundation. The John A. Hartford Foundation is an organization dedicated to improving the care and healthcare of older adults. Isaiah was raised by his grandmother, and is inspired to hep transform care for older adults as a result.
Jeremiah Attaochu, a defensive end for the Los Angeles Chargers, chose to represent his own organization, Glory's Hope Foundation. Glory's Hope Foundation is a non-profit focused on educating, supporting, equipping, and mentoring young Sickle Cell patients and students. Jeremiah's sister suffers from Sickle Cell Disease, and his fight for young people with SCD is inspired by her.

Eddie Lacy, a running back for the Seattle Seahawks, chose to represent International Relief Teams. In 2005, Eddie's home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, and he wants to inspire hope in those who have been affected by a disaster.
The toes of Eddie's cleats are covered with the names of various disasters and other international conflicts that International Relief Teams has offered aid to. |
