THE PROCESS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Picture
How much does your work cost?
The cost of custom shoes is based on the complexity of the design. All work starts at $300, and increases with the amount of work required. Contact me for an accurate price quote.

Do you ship internationally?
I am able to ship outside of the US, but keep in mind that your order may take longer, and that shipping costs are paid for by the customer.

What kind of paint do you use?
I strictly use Angelus paints and products for my customs.

What kind of shoes can you work with?
Leather shoes work best, but I can work with nearly any material. Canvas, synthetic material, and even mesh works fine. Try to avoid suede. If you are not sure, you can always ask me.

How long does it take for my shoes to be complete?
It is difficult to give an "average" wait time, but always plan ahead for gifts, events, or special occasions. Expect a roughly two month turnaround time, but contact me at any time for a more accurate estimate.

Do I have to provide the shoes?
Yes. The customer must provide the shoes. New or lightly worn is preferable.

How do I send you shoes, and how do I pay?
You may ship your shoes via whichever shipping method you prefer. If the order is local, a drop-off may be scheduled. I accept all payments via PayPal.

HOW IT WORKS

COMMISSION.

To start the process of ordering your very own pair of custom, hand painted shoes, you may contact me through the contact page. Please give a description of what you are looking for. You do not have to give exact details unless you desire to. If you are not sure what direction you are looking to go, I am always happy to freestyle, and come up with my own ideas and designs. You can provide a specific color, or an exact picture you may really love. No matter what, I am always willing to take on a challenge.

CREATION.

Once I have the shoes in possession and an idea of what direction to go in, I can begin work. I will develop a complete design and start the actual creation process. The shoes are prepped with chemicals to remove any oils and factory finishers. Paint application can then be done, using Angelus brand paints, which are specially designed to flex and resist cracking and chipping. This process, as stated previously, varies in how much time is required. When painting is done, I will apply finisher, protector, and any special final touches, including laces, patches, and hangtags upon request.
