I customized this pair of Yeezy Boost 350's for Andrew Murphy of Youngstown Kicks (@youngstownkicks). The custom is titled Color Recognition; it is a double entendre that references the literal ability to distinguish one hue from another on the color spectrum, as well as a nod to recognition that the Yeezy model and Yeezy customs often receive. The project is intended to be shot at hypebeasts and footwear market inflation, and ultimately an assertion that art is more valuable than a product. More specifically, I wanted to show that a creatively executed custom can add value to a shoe, rather than take away from it.
To complete this custom I designed custom insoles, made possible by Foot Canvas (@footcanvas), and added rope laces with golden Yeezy Aglets by Lace Lab (@lacelab). I added print to the shoe box as well to pull the entire project together.
